Unlike most bear events held around the country, Lazy Bear has no contests, pageants, organized dinners, banquets nor anything that might create a hectic schedule.  Lazy Bear is all about playing around in the sun and water, hanging out with old and new friends, and just doing whatever you want.

  There were lots of unorganized activities and events.  The Russian River for floating and swimming, plus most of the resorts have a pool. There are  plenty of restaurants, even though many people cook at their campsites or cabins.  Fife's Resort had a big bon fire every night.  One afternoon many bears headed over to the local amusement park for some fun on the waterslide, go karts and carnival games.  

Most every night there was a "beer bust" at one of the local watering holes. Over the long weekend, there was many thousands of dollars raised for charity.

Lazy Bear is all about guys with beards (or what ever else constitutes a "bear") having a week in the sun with friends.	Bears come in all shapes, sizes and degrees of furriness.	I'm so over teddy bears -- even further than I'm over the rainbow.
Bears tend to be friendly and cuddly.	When do all the bikini clad chicks show up?	The other pool party at another resort.
