What is a "bear"?  Despite the gay community's usual practice of categorizing to the n'th  degree what something or somebody is, the bears have continued to defy a standard definition.   I define a bear as a man with any one or more these attributes including:  bearded, hairy, blue collar, masculine, muscled, over weight, old or young, or about anything else you wouldn't expect to find in your stereotypical interior decorator type of a gay man.
