This week, March 3rd - March 9th, was another week where the pictures don't show much. But I suppose the first week, with all the demolition will always be the most dramatic for seeing the "before & after". This week I was in San Antonio attending a programmers conference. Jack went to Ikea and ordered the cabinets after he dropped me off at the airport.
Construction accomplishments this week included the installation of the garden window over the sink, framing the light box below the sky light, lots of wiring. The wiring involved ripping more of the old "knob & post" stuff that didn't get ripped out the first week. Because the old kitchen was so deficient in lights and outlets, we may have gone overboard on installing new ones. But, I'd rather have too much than not enough.

![]() New framing in the attic space for the light box leading up to the sky light. Notice the blue electrical box. That is for the attic light. The door to the attic will here. |
![]() More new wiring for things like the dishwasher, disposal, and compacter. |
![]() Since the sky light was installed the weather has brought us wind, rain and snow. And much to Jack's amazement, no leaks! |
