| The ceiling was painted on Monday, April 8th. |

| It is a satin gloss finish, the color is "Ice Cavern". |

| The walls are primed. The skylight shaft and ceiling are the same color.
But color is more obvious in the
skylight, plus the color changes during the day as the sun passes by. |

| Jack painted just one wall to see if we liked the color "Dutch Aqua". |

| I like the color... it goes well with our attempt to have a
subtle "nautical theme" in the colors and finishes in the kitchen. |

| The cabinets are hung from this rail. Jack was dubious at first, but once he got going he realized it was a lot easier to level this thing just once, then all the cabinets were level too. |

| The fasteners also allow for additional leveling. |

| Have you ever assembled shelves or
cabinets from Ikea? You get this packet of junk, a bunch of boards with holes drilled in them, and a sheet of "instructions". |

| I can never tell which board is the top, bottom, inside or outside. The instructions are of little help. |
|

| The first unit took about 20 minutes to figure out, the rest went together and were hung in than 10 minutes each. |
|

| Of course, Bella is forbidden on the counters... but inside the cupboards is OK. |

| Everything meets with the cat's approval. Now Jack can proceed with the cupboards on the south wall. |
