One day we drove around the smaller half of the island.
Our first stop was this park.

Greg & Jack pointing to the obvious.

There is a small shrine at the top of a long, easy stairway.

This was our first stop on the drive around the Island.
However, I didn't take any pictures after we left here. Oh well. Believe when I say it was all beautiful.

See me taking a picture? I'm taking a picture of Greg taking this picture.

Here's the picture I took.

Jack near the Ioa Needle restrooms.

This aquarium was highly recommended to Guy and it was on his "must do" list.

It was a very nice set of exhibits.

We rented those "self guided tour" head phone.
But it was just way TMI (too much information).

I almost didn't go to the aquarium. I wanted to go to the Sugar Cane Museum.
Never did make it there. Now I have another reason to go back to Maui.

Also at the aquarium that had a nice
restaurant where we had lunch. I could not bring myself to eat one of the many seafood offerings... I just had fruit salad served in a carved out pineapple.

Tivo towels. Greg and Guy turned Jack and me on to Tivo. (Tivo is a very special TV recording device and subscription service.)

I bought these towels online and gave them to Greg and Guy when they came to our house a few weeks earlier to plan our trip.
We were on Maui for one
week: December 14-21, 2002. Jack had been to Maui several
times in the past, but not since about 1995. This was my first
time to Maui, but I had been to other islands in 1998 and 1981.
This was Greg's first visit to Hawaii. Guy lived in Hawaii for a
year or so back in the 1970's.
Happy Hours
