During August I took a week and half off from work. Gregg was already out for the summer. The main event was a 5-day campout with a bunch of guys near Skykomish. I've been on that campout every year since 1997 and this is the first year I didn't take any pictures. Maybe that was my last "Kamp Kodiak" for a couple of years.
We did go up the Mountain Loop hiway for two nights of camping. Here are some picture of our short hike up to the "Big 4 Ice Caves".
The hike is short -- maybe 2 miles. It starts just off the Mountain Loop Hiway.

The first part of the hike is on a boardwalk over marsh and ponds.

This trail is so well maintained. This was my first time here since about 1990. I was amazed how much effort and money
has been spent on this popular trail.

At the ice caves. We didn't go in. I'm chicken about such things.
